About Adirondack Metal Roofing
Adirondack Metal Roofing serves homeowners in Clinton, Franklin, Essex, and St. Lawrence counties, New York: the North Country, from the Lake Champlain shore to the St. Lawrence lowlands and the Adirondack interior between them. This site does one job. It connects homeowners planning a standing seam metal roof or a full metal roof replacement with an independent local contractor who does that work.
Who operates this site
Adirondack Metal Roofing is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing company doing business as Compass Lead Group. We are not a roofing contractor and do not perform roofing work. We operate and maintain this site, publish the research on it, and connect the homeowners who contact us with independent local metal roofing contractors.
How the service works
We operate this website to connect North Country homeowners with independent, insured metal roofing contractors. When you submit a match request, your information is forwarded to a local contractor who can schedule your free consultation or quote. You deal with that contractor directly: their contract, their workmanship, their warranty. The service is free for homeowners. We are paid a referral fee by the professional we match you with, and that fee never increases the price you pay. The full explanation is on how we make money.
What we ask of the contractors we work with
New York State does not license roofers, and neither Clinton, Franklin, Essex, nor St. Lawrence county runs a contractor licensing program, so a license is not a signal anyone can offer here. We look for objective, checkable things instead:
- Current general liability insurance and New York workers' compensation coverage, shown by a Certificate of Insurance.
- Written contracts that meet NY General Business Law Article 36-A, including the three-business-day cancellation right and deposit protections.
- Written workmanship warranties on completed work.
- Transparent, itemized written estimates before any work is performed.
We publish the same checklist for homeowners in our contractor verification guide, because you should verify these yourself no matter who made the introduction.
Why the content runs deep
A metal roof in this region is an engineering decision: ground snow loads that vary town to town, an eave ice-barrier code requirement, seam and gauge choices that behave differently at 100 inches of snowfall. Every code, insurance, and climate claim on this site cites a primary source, and anything we cannot verify does not get published. That is the standard the North Country metal roofing guide is written to.
